Airbus donates $500,000 state-of-art A320 elevator to SCC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program

SCC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program is taking off into wild blue yonder of space-age science thanks to a generous contribution from Airbus, the manufacturer of the world’s first ‘fly by wire” commercial airliner.

Students are already familiarizing themselves with the $500,000 elevator from an Airbus A320 airliner donated to the college.

“The elevator is comprised of all composite structure, including fiberglass, Kevlar, carbon fiber and resin material.
